Breakfast Program

Breakfast Program

Each morning, our Breakfast Program team arrives at school to prepare toast, fruit and vegetables, milk, yogurt or cereal for our students. Our kitchen operations have been approved by health inspectors from Alberta Health Services. The staff have obtained Food Safety Certification for the preparation of the food, and we take great care and pride in our procedures. EB strives to make our Breakfast Program inclusive and for all students and families if they so choose. The intention is not for it to be accessible for only students who may be disadvantaged.  There are many reasons a student may require food, including hunger, a busy and hectic morning at home, a long commute to school, or the social need to connect with peers and adults.  When the students arrive in the morning, we serve from 3 designated stations throughout the school, and are aided by staff. These operations are funded by key partnerships and sponsorships, including the Breakfast Club of Canada and supported by local businesses such as Cob's Bread and Mark's No-Frills.

Land Acknowledgment

Rocky View Schools would like to acknowledge the land and recognize all the Indigenous Peoples whose footprints have marked these lands from time immemorial. Together, we can learn and honour the Ways of Knowing of Indigenous Peoples for all future generations.
